Brock Lesnar vs Cain Velasquez

Last month we set our focus on maybe the most anticipated bout in UFC history as tweleve and O shane Carwin looked to defeat UFC  heavyweight Champion Brock Lesnar after returning from a serious illness know as diverticulitis a.k.a a hole in his stomach.

After witnessing Shane Carwin pick apart Frank Mir in the first round at UFC 111,my money was sure on Shane Carwin to pull in another victory but that was not the case,I sat down about four am UK time begging for the referee to start the match.Lesnar,Carwin went head to head my heart started pounding at this stage I now was thinking " Lesnar looks focused maybe he will take this one after all",to my surprise Lesnar offers his hands in a touch of gloves to commence the fight.Carwin comes in with a menacing uppercut catching Lesnar,Carwin then bombarded the 265 monster with furious rights and lefts up against the cage.I thought it was all over but Lesnar some how survived the onslaught and moved into the second round, thats when I knew Shane was breathing heavy and I heard him say in his corner gasping " No No".The second round got under way but It was not to be for Carwin as Lesnar took the legs of Carwin in a quick and easy takedown.Just when I thought Lesnar would lay in some hammer fists thats when he shocked the world and finished Carwin by submission.

My thoughts on the fight? Well Lesnar got smashed by Carwin and I surely thought Carwin had it,unfortunately his body seized up on him in the second rate as what he described as "Lactic Acidosis".In all fairness to Lesnar though,he took the shots which most defiantly would have knocked an average human male unconscious. In the end Lesnar walked away with the title but Carwin walked out the better fighter that night in my mind.

On to Brock vs Cain,Cain is a dangerous fighter and coming off a huge win over Nogueira.Cain is a well rounded fighter and in my opinion a more well rounded fighter than the champ but if you ask me will Cain defeat Brock my reply would be no.Just like Lesnars second encounter with Mir I see this match following the same path.Lesnar will look to smother Cain with his size and strength and he will then follow this up with some heavy ground & pound. In my mind theres only one guy who can over come Lesnars size and power and that man is Shane Carwin. And a rematch is surely imminent.
